Monthly Firewise USA® Assistance Workshop
Zoom Virtual MeetingVRFSC's monthly Firewise USA® Workshop is hosted on the third Friday of every month via Zoom. The workshop is open to the public (online only) and begins at 1:00pm. It lasts 1-2 hours. Visit VenturaFireSafe.org for more information. This workshop is meant for helping prospective neighborhoods through the Firewise USA® application process and also for recognized neighborhoods to answer common questions and help sustain the program.
Chipper Event (Drop Off) – Serving ALL Newbury Park Residents
Peppertree Playfield Park 3720 Old Conejo Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA, United StatesOur Chipper Program provides chipping services for neighborhoods and individual homeowners in Ventura County free of charge. These vegetation management programs reduce the flammable fuel load and increase weed abatement activities in communities that border the wildland-urban interface threat zones.
Chipper Event (Curbside) – Ondulando Neighborhood, Ventura
Lower your wildfire risk by reducing overgrown vegetation on your property! The Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council is hosting a Curbside Chipper Event for any residents in the Ondulando Neighborhood in Ventura on March 6 and 7! Each resident that REGISTERS will do their own yard work and set all their ready-to-chip vegetation into a neatly formed stack at the end of their driveway by March 5th. On the days of the event, a crew will drive by with a chipper and chip their vegetation and either haul the chips away or keep them on site, to be determined at registration.
