    Curbside Chipper Event (Wildwood Neighborhood, Thousand Oaks)

    Lower your wildfire risk by reducing overgrown vegetation on your property! The Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council is hosting a Curbside Chipper Event for any residents in the Wildwood Neighborhood on May 26th! Each resident that REGISTERS will do their own yard work and set all their ready-to-chip vegetation into a neatly formed stack at the end of their driveway by May 25. On the day of the event, a crew will drive by with a chipper and chip their vegetation and either haul the chips away or keep them on site, to be determined at registration.     VRFSC's monthly Firewise USA® Workshop is hosted on the third Friday of every month via Zoom. The workshop is open to the public (online only) and begins at 1:00pm. It lasts 1 hour. This workshop is meant for helping prospective neighborhoods through the Firewise USA® application process and also for recognized neighborhoods to answer common questions and help sustain the program.
