VRFSC's monthly Firewise USA® Workshop is hosted on the third Friday of every month via Zoom. The workshop is open to the public (online only) and begins at 1:00pm. It lasts 1-2 hours. Visit VenturaFireSafe.org for more information. This workshop is meant for helping prospective neighborhoods through the Firewise USA® application process and also for recognized neighborhoods to answer common questions and help sustain the program.

This event is being held from 8:30AM - 2:30PM at 1509 Susan Dr, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320. Reservations are encouraged and appreciated but not required. This is a great opportunity for residents to clear any excessive or hazardous vegetation! Lower your wildfire risk by reducing overgrown vegetation on your property! The Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council is hosting a Drop Off Chipping Event for any Fillmore residents on May 24th at 728 Goodenough Rd, Well #4! Chipper Event (Curbside) – Serving all Oak Park!

Lower your wildfire risk by reducing overgrown vegetation on your property! The Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council is hosting a Curbside Chipper Event for any residents east of Kanan Rd in Oak Park on May 30th! Each resident that REGISTERS will do their own yard work and set all their ready-to-chip vegetation into a neatly formed stack at the end of their driveway by May 29th. On the days of the event, a crew will drive by with a chipper and chip their vegetation and either haul the chips away or keep them on site, to be determined at registration.
