In December of 2017 the Thomas Fire ravaged the city of Ventura. The fire destroyed over 1,000 structures including many homes in Ventura. Many people have resiliently rebuilt their home on the site where it was destroyed. The Ventura County Library Foundation (VCLF), working with five homeowners who have rebuilt their home, is inviting you to tour these homes on April 20. Below are some details that will help you have the most enjoyment of the day:

• A map of home tour locations will be provided a few days prior to the event.

• One $50 ticket will give you entrance to all five homes. We have staggered starting homes/times to reduce crowds. (No refunds. If cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the VCLF thanks you for your donation.)

• Be sure to bring your ticket with you to each home; you will not be granted access without a ticket.

• Due to limited parking, carpooling is highly recommended.

• The tour begins at noon and ends at 4:00 PM. Please keep in mind that if you begin the tour late in the afternoon, you may not be able to visit all of the homes.

• Homes may be viewed in any order, but we ask that you begin at the house designated on your ticket.

• We will have signage to direct you at major turns and each home will have docents to answer your questions.

• All of the hillside homes have steps and are not accessible to strollers or wheelchairs.

• Flat, closed-toe shoes are recommended. Booties will be provided with your welcome bag.

• Restrooms will not be available at the homes.

• Please respect the privacy of our homeowners. No video or photos allowed.
