Outreach and Education

Wildfire Prevention Webinar Series

The Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council (VRFSC) is excited to be able to provide our community with a variety of fire prevention resources, including our Wildfire Prevention Webinar Series, made possible through the generous grant funding by the Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA).

  • The VRFSC is partnering with the Ventura County Resource Conservation District (VCRCD) on Understanding Wildfire & History in Ventura County on May 4th at 6pm

  • VRFSC is partnering with VCRCD and the Surfrider Foundation Ocean Friendly Garden Program to educate our community on how they can alter the landscapes in their own yards to be more firewise and waterwise utilizing home hardening practices and Ocean Friendly Garden techniques. This interactive webinar will be hosted on Thursday May 13th at 6pm

  • Learn how to protect your home from wildfire and help reduce the likelihood of embers catching your house on fire through this comprehensive Home Hardening Presentation offered by the esteemed Woody Bouska on Thursday June 24th at 6pm.

The VRFSC is committed to providing fire safety education and awareness programs targeting local residents and landowners. We participate in a number of community outreach events designed to provide residents throughout the County of Ventura with important information about fire safety.

We also partner with local fire departments to offer fire safety education programs to the community.  Please see our calendar for wildfire related community events.
